I have using Maxis Broadband more than half year but I feel Maxis was cheating me as a customer. They provide half year for your testing but still need to paid. First few month they provided fast speed wireless broadband to your demo period. After the demo period or half year you will get slow speed broadband. Now I always need to restart the equipment every time the broadband slow. (This is their solution) . Maxis just provided suck and poor broadband service. If you late to make payment, they have extra charge to you but they provided slow broadband to you, do you think they rebate the bill?

in m’sia best service is tmnet sytreamyx, how also here dont have port, i cant apply for tmpoint. its really lowest price and high speed, enjoy to play online games. i know this coz i was working in cyber cafe.
but now i cant apply for tmpoint for my home coz there is no port.
now was really looking for broadband coz no other choice.
all said the best is celcom 3G.
if celcom fight maxis = celcom won.
if digi fight celcom i dont know which 1 is great.
but i know from my cust is digi is high speed can play online games well but the price is sure you can die if u see these.
how also no coverage in my place so i apply for celcpm lor.

omg..i reali reali regret that i ored subscribe tis mxs broadband…me n my bf use the wireless modem..at 1st..reali fast..but…NT EVEN REACH 1month…ored like….. ~!@#$%^&* ….so anybody can let me knw wats my next move should go..i reali fed up on it… IF I CANCEL NOW..I NEED TO PAY HANDLING FEE COST RM200…rite?… do they worth to get the ‘money’ meh?…shame on them!!!!

Son of a gun! Maxis provider as broadband gone helter skelter! i.ve been using it almost a year, and what did i get? Nil bloody service but yet i’ve to pay evenly! Yes, i’m going to stop using maxis as soon as i finished a year contract. And the maxis dealer is also damn hell. Eat your heart out maxis!

maxis and companies like that just survive because here in malaysia is no CPR customer protecting rules its mean company is always right i understand terms of maxis that u use just 3gb and not more than this atleast it was in the contract (it dosnt exist in europe and no where else) but before i reach my 3gb limit wtf is it that i get dial up like sorry but we live in 2009 right??? i dont say that malaysia is not devloped or anything against malaysia i just say this govroment dont give a f about its people. exactly like proton is the cars here the same as export? noooo the export one if u drive with it against a wall nothing happens this one here u just make a fast turn u are dead. with all respect FUCK MAXIS

i agree you guys, I registered just today(21 june 2009).
Here is my statistics:
First I bought the power modem of 98rm per month, service was quite well and from the start to the end non of any customer service memeber of maxis center told me that its not unlimited and there is fair usage policy so i am heavy user within 5 hours broadband sucks i just downloaded couple of movies thats all. after that broadband speed becomes 10kb per second which was above 100kb before that. I started searching about the fact then customer service on phone told me that. i immediately return the modem next day. remember that it was 7 day trial. but here i made a mistake again, i impressed with the starting service which i saw only for 5 hours. so today i buy the unlimited usb modem fucking package. modem is recieving 3 to 4 HSDPA signal clay light, maxis own connection software is showing above 100kbps download speed through maxis speed test(check there website) showing 57kbps download speed, http://www.speedbit.com site showing 0.17 download speed 0.02 upload speed and latency is 304ms. amazing han?
Good news is that i cant download any file…. uploading is far far away story. cant see any video and just double click the connection icon in lower corner of your window which shows recieved data in bytes, remember that 1024 byte = 1 kb, average kb broadband is giveing between 5 to 20kb no constant speed.
while tmnet 512kb connection gives 60kb constant speed you can download 1gb movie file within 3 hours

THE WORST broadband in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya is Maxis Broadband! I subscribe for the advanced package at 640kbps as advised by their outlet [It's the maximum they can offer]. I’m lucky to get 50kbps anytime I log on! The only consistent thing about Maxis Broadband is their billing and disconnection! I’m one of the lucky few who have NO CHOICE but to subscribe to Maxis because they have a monopoly in the area. No Telekom.. Only Maxis. The pathetic reasoning for their pathetic service is “too many users”, yet they are aggressively promoting and subscribing new users. Their customer service told me to check my internet speed in order for them to address my slow connection and you can only use THEIR speed check. It takes about 6hrs with my speed to download the speed check program. Advising them that it takes 6hrs didn’t help. An Ox could have figured that one out, but NO, Maxis needs a speed check. Tsk..tsk..tsk… sheer brilliance on the part of Maxis, I must say! But hey, I don’t blame them it’s a business right? And who are we customers to complain if we get our rear end rammed? The bigger you are, the harder we get it!

I know you all agree my points. I am still looking for good internet connection service. But honestly! It seams all of these internet blood sucks are almost the same type.

Ya i do, i think steamyx is suck, but after using maxis now i feel that is like heaven(streamyx) and hell(maxis).
Maxis only will give you fast speed in 1st two week when we register after that it will be very slow , even i want to play dota in genera also cant.
at least if i using streamyx i can play it.
When i go complaint there tell me because i already finish the download for 3G, bullshit.
Ok if i finish the download as p2p for 3g, then why play online game also cannot???
If like that better i use back streamyx, at least no limitation for download, and the price also lower than MaXis…..
Can we do any think to let them change their service???
i’m currently looking for a way to submit/lodge a petition with FOMCA/MCMC..just an update…
when we called maxis service centre to ask about our low speed…….guess what we are told!!!!

i don’t think any of the company can provide 3Mbps in Malaysia when they advertise 3Mbps plan…..it just cheat us to sign up and get stuck with….cancel the plan?????….ha ha ha….fine you the penalthy of 200 ringgit…can u imagine how much money they can make by this cheating act….like celcom,i need to pay 299 for the modem…..signup for 24 months and charge me 99 per months and then if i cancel the plan then they will fine me……
now i am using two broadband at the same time,the streamyx and celcom. non of this are good. this is malaysia boleh lah…..i am sure they are many many people already suffer from this issue and how come the consumer affair department still allow them to do this kind of false acvertisement to cheat all the malaysian people.
all the internet provider in our country are all suck, i tried time .com / streamyx / celcom vodafone / maxis….all are con man company….they advitise will get fast speed……with 3.5G with 3Mbps service…but all are cheating. they cheat all malaysian to sign the package and charge you a fees when you want to terminate the contract????? how we get protected with this kind of day light robbers.

just to share yesterday me and my GF when to one of Maxis Retailer and what did we get a nasty and cold service from them…..of for god sake we are using 2 Maxis Broadband Account (yeah too bad it happen!!!!)
I’m waiting for p1 w1max to reach my place-which are taking forever. Then i don’t freaking care anymore if i need to pay 200 for this bloody service…….
and guys for your info i saw that maxis had made an upgrade, they had changed their advertisment by showing the bandwith caps ( i’m very sure that their freaking legal advice tell them this)…..

The broadband service is very bad. Sometimes it is HSDPA but sometimes it goes to UTMS or EDGE and then disconnected. It happened few times in an hour. This is not my first time experience. I’ve called your customer service this morning telling the bad problem but she hang-up the call. It is a very bad image to Maxis.
Maxis will loose their customers because of their broadband services. They must do something!
